When I initially ran the numbers to see who was going to be #1, I came up with the result of Akon and Michael Jackson beating out Madonna and Justin... but I was wrong! I ran the numbers again after friends shared their thoughts of my findings and it turns out that Madonna and Justin ARE #1 for the month. I think I had just transposed some numbers here and there in my initial calculations. While I do like the Akon and Michael Jackson update of "Wanna Be Startin' Somethin'," I would not have picked it to be the winner over "4 Minutes" by Madonna and Justin. So, with that being said, the chart has been changed to reflect the recent discovery.

In regards to my predictions for last month... what the hell was I smoking when I made those? To recap, here is what I predicted and the result.

1. I said that Kat DeLuna's "Run The Show" would be #1... sadly, it fell to #8 for the month.
2. I said that Ralph Falcon's "Break You" would be #2... it dropped 12 spots!
3. I said that Erin Hamilton's "The Flame" would be #3... it dropped off the chart entirely.
4. I said that Shirley Bassey's "Get This Party Started" would be #4... it also fell out of the chart completely.

Ick. I didn't do well at all with those. So, with better calculating, here are my predictions for June.

1. "4 Minutes" will be #1.
2. "Rock With U" by Janet will debut.
3. "Bleeding Love" will be in the Top 5.
4. "Stamp Your Feet" by Donna Summer will debut.

Like Flo Rida earlier this year, Leona Lewis has maintained her spot at #1 for the month of May. Can she do it again? Will Madonna take the throne? Time will tell. While there is no true second single on the radio from Leona Lewis, "Better In Time" has been slowly creeping on the club scene. However, with Madonna, "Give It 2 Me" has been confirmed as the second single from "Hard Candy," with no radio play as of yet. Look for club mixes from the latter as well.

Other strong contenders for #1 next month include artists such as Lil Wayne, Jordin Sparks and Chris Brown. I would say the underdogs for the top spot are Natasha Bedingfield, Danity Kane and John Mayer. We will see what happens! Stay tuned!
